Whalehouse Point Restaurant & Bar, Watch Hill, Fire Island, NY. Gissel Garcia is a singer, songwriter and guitar player with contralto vocals. She was born in Culiacán, a city in northwestern Mexico, and has been living in the United States for the last 9 years. She currently calls Babylon, New York her home. Gissel is influenced by a wide range of musical genres; Latin Rock and Reggae Fusion being the most influential in her original music. She writes her lyrics in English and Spanish reaching multicultural audiences around the world. Gissel is currently fronting the Gissel Garcia Band playing all over the tri state area with her talented musicians. The introspective lyrics, powerful vocals of Gissel coupled with the rhythmic flavor of her New York born and raised band, captures audiences with a deep and resonating musical experience unlike any other.
